The HDA 200 is a pair of closed dynamic ear protector headphones designed for use with audiometers.

Very high passive ambient noise attenuation (based on PELTOR hearing protectors)
Excellent repeatability of readings
Suitable for high frequency audiometry, independent of positioning
Soft, replaceable ear pads
Padded headband for increased comfort
Single-sided cable
Design approved by the PTB (German organisation for type approvals, a national standards organisation similar to the British Standards Institute or the American National Bureau of Standards) The HDA 200 complies with IEC 60645-1
Audiometric reference data for HDA 200 is included in two ISO standards:
ISO 389-5: Acoustics - Reference zero for the calibration of audiometric equipment-Part 5: Reference equivalent threshold sound pressure levels for pure tones in the frequency range 8 kHz to 16 kHz (ISO/TR 389-5:1998)
ISO 389-8: Acoustics - Reference zero for the calibration of audiometric equipment - Part 8: Reference equivalent threshold sound pressure levels for pure tones and circumaural earphones (ISO 389-8:2004); German version EN ISO 389-8:2004
