A natural-born storyteller, Wilson empowers her audience with honest, yet confident lyrical stylings about her own self-discovery. Pinned as an Artist to Watch in 2020 by Pandora, The Boot, and Sounds Like Nashville, Lainey Wilson breaks into the mainstream with country radio single “Dirty Looks” highlighted by Rolling Stone as “a clever, mid-tempo ballad that mixes double entendres with Wilson’s hazy vocals”. On her recently-released EP, Redneck Hollywood Wilson surrounds the steamy single with three more tracks that move deftly between celebrating the quirks of her small-town upbringing and ruminating on the sometimes hard-won wisdom of love. The project marks her debut on BBR Music Group/BMG’s flagship imprint, Broken Bow Records, and is produced by GRAMMY Award-winning mastermind, Jay Joyce. Hailing from the small farming community of Baskin, Louisiana, country music newcomer Lainey Wilson has as much grit in her as she does soul. She moved to Nashville in a bumper-pull camper trailer to pursue a career in music and has been carving her own unique place in the country music landscape ever since, already garnering early praise for her “unabashedly down-home and unflappably worldly” (NPR) style and exhibiting “just enough scars and pragmatism to write great, universal country songs” (Taste of Country). From landing a TV placement with “Workin’ Overtime” in Paramount Network’s hit series Yellowstone to having co-writer credits on songs recorded by fellow country artists including Luke Combs, the songstress’ talents continue to influence more than just her own artistry. Although Wilson’s camper trailer has long since been retired, she continues to log an impressive number of miles on the road, having performed for sold-out crowds throughout the US, UK, and Germany. Named one of CMT’s “Next Women of Country,” Wilson has also shared stages with such notable country artists as Rodney Atkins, Tyler Farr, Ashley McBryde, Justin Moore, Josh Turner, Morgan Wallen, and more. As she continues to share her Redneck Hollywood story with the world, Wilson maintains the same vehement determination and unequivocal confidence that has fueled her momentum from Louisiana to Nashville and beyond.
