The School of Business Administration in Karviná is a faculty of the Silesian University in Opava. The Silesian University is one of the youngest universities in the Czech Republic. It was founded in 1991.
The challenge
As the conference room at the School of Business Administration (SBA) in Karviná it was about is not of the usual standard dimensions, the most important requirement for the new microphone was that it should be flexible. Another requirement was that the new mic solution needed to be easily implemented into the existing video conferencing ecosystem and be adaptable to different room setups.
The solution

As the School of Business Administration (SBA) is an educational institution, the time to finish the installation was limited. Because of the quick and easy setup of TeamConnect Ceiling 2 (TCC2), this was no problem.
“We relied on AVT Group as our experienced installation partner who recommended TeamConnect Ceiling 2 to be installed in our specific room”, says Jakub Ježíšek, technical specialist and IT manager at SBA. The installation of the Microsoft Teams-certified ceiling mic was performed by AVT Group quickly, successfully and as requested by the customer.
TCC2 fits the conditions of the conference room perfectly as its patented automatic dynamic beamforming technology allows the microphone to adapt to different room setups without any without reconfiguration. TCC2 scores not only with its fast and easy setup, but also with its flexible integration options. At SBA, the xSL CM SK ceiling mic suspension kit was used for the suspended installation of TCC2. The set consists of 4 steel cables with 16.4ft (5m) length that can be adjusted to an individual installation height.
