The results
Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry have put unified communications and multi-site learning at the heart of their Doctor of Medicine (MD) program since 2008, relying on beamforming microphone solutions to support their advanced educational environment. Experiencing varying results from previous technologies, Schulich turned to Sennheiser’s TeamConnect Bar Medium (TC Bar M), TeamConnect Ceiling Medium (TCC M) and TeamConnect Ceiling 2 (TCC 2).
The Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling Solutions were chosen for their superior audio performance, reliability, and ease of installation, as well as outperforming all other solutions that had been used and/or deployed in the past. The TCC 2 marked the institutions initial step into Sennheiser solutions and was quickly followed by the TCC M, which unlocked capabilities previously unavailable, including Dante integration with soundbars and intelligent noise control.
When Sennheiser introduced the TeamConnect Bar Solutions, the most feature-rich all-in-one conferencing devices in their class, the institution pre-ordered 6 TC Bar M, due to its ability to integrate with TCC M and the institution's confidence in Sennheiser’s TeamConnect family portfolio. The TC Bar M was installed to enhance Schulich’s medium-sized conferencing and collaboration spaces,
A standout example of this installation is the university’s History of Medicine Library, a 35-person capacity space dedicated to multi-site learning, student collaboration, and guest lectures. In this environment, the combination of the TC Bar M and TCC M provides seamless audio and video coverage. The TC Bar M delivers audience-facing crystal-clear video, microphones, and audio, while the TCC M provides the additional microphone coverage needed to ensure optimal sound clarity, regardless of how the space was being used.
By integrating Sennheiser’s TCC M and TC Bar M, the institution has significantly improved the quality of its hybrid learning and conferencing experiences, offering students and lecturers reliable, high-quality audio and video in every session.
"When I learned the TC Bar M was coming to market and could integrate with the TCC M, I ordered 6, based on our conferencing/collaboration space requirements at the time and our existing track record with Sennheiser TeamConnect products."
