British motor car manufacturer Morgan Motor Company has partnered with Sennheiser since 2022 to develop a revolutionary audio system specially for its Plus Four, Midsummer and Supersport models. Whilst Morgan sports cars have featured audio systems in the past, this collaboration merges Morgan’s century-long legacy of artisanal automotive design with Sennheiser’s cutting-edge sound innovation—delivering a uniquely immersive experience that celebrates tradition while embracing modernity.

This makes it a perfect match for the Morgan Motor Company, which has been manufacturing quintessentially British vehicles for more than 110 years, combining an exceptional mix of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology. Just as Morgan’s vehicles are meticulously built with a blend of heritage, innovation, and passion for analogue driving experiences, Sennheiser’s approach to in-car audio is defined by precision engineering and dedication to pure sound. Thanks to our Contrabass algorithm, the Sennheiser sound system delivers a unique bass response optimised for definition, punch, and depth while keeping the system as efficient and compact as possible. The system includes eight transducers: four conventional speakers in the door and rear panel, and four invisible speakers, of which three are behind the dashboard and one in the lower compartment panel for bass reproduction. The transducers are controlled by an amplifier with a dedicated DSP, powered by Sennheiser’s audio processing software.
Whether cruising through the countryside or navigating city streets, drivers are enveloped in a sound experience that feels as handcrafted as the car itself. The cabin design is unaltered, and the use of invisible speakers ensures that additional weight is kept to a minimum, a must for any sports car.
